The Shark Pledge Wall was part of an exhibition raising awareness of the critical endangerment of sharks. It asks visitors to pledge what they will do to reduce the rate of shark killings, from choosing to eat from sustainable fisheries, changing to cosmetics that do not include shark oils, and many more. Each visitor’s pledge was counted and added to an ongoing tally for the duration of the exhibition.
The application was developed in Unity 3D, using a multi-screen setup (the pledge area was below, while a second screen showed the tally). The exhibition was to tour, so a language system was implemented whereby simply filling in a spreadsheet on the backend with a new language, the system would automatically add it to the front end.
